Meet Phil, the heart behind Blu Skies.

Phil started Blu Skies nearly 20 years ago with a vision for something deeper than just great hair. He wanted to create a space where creative people could feel supported, challenged, accepted, and free to come into their own.

After 23 years behind the chair, Phil has poured so much of himself into this industry, this salon, and the people around him. He’s an amazing dad who loves spending time with his kids, a leader who genuinely wants the people around him to grow, and somehow still manages to keep everyone laughing with his silly, goofy energy.

What makes Phil special is that he leads with heart. He believes in building an inclusive, team-driven environment where stylists can be themselves, clients can feel comfortable, and creativity has room to thrive.

Meet Chelsea ✨

Chelsea is one of those people who brings the perfect mix of experience, humor, and heart into the salon. She’s been behind the chair for 12 years, and now also serves as one of our stylist mentors, sharing the kind of advice that only comes from really knowing this industry and caring about the people growing in it.

She’s a mom, a dog lover, a loyal friend to her guests, and always a fun time to be around. Whether she’s talking through a formula, hyping up a stylist, or making her clients feel completely taken care of, Chelsea adds so much to the Blu Skies vibe.

Her favorite part of doing hair? The relationships she’s built with her guests, and honestly, that says everything.

Meet Marissa ✨

Marissa brings a calm confidence behind the chair with a love for both the creativity and the science of doing hair. She’s been in the industry for a year and a half, and she’s always looking for new ways to learn, grow, and create something beautiful.

Outside of the salon, Marissa likes to stay active with workouts and boxing, take long walks with her dogs Henny and Guala, and show up for the local music scene whenever she can. She also knows her way around the kitchen, so don’t be surprised if she casually cooks up something amazing.

Her favorite thing about Blu Skies? Her coworkers. 🫶 And we’re pretty lucky to have her too. 🤍

Meet Taylor ✨

Taylor is the kind of person who brings color everywhere she goes — behind the chair, on the dance floor, and throughout the salon. She’s a mom, a rave girl, a community builder, and one of those people who naturally keeps an eye out for the people around her.

With 10 years behind the chair, Taylor loves all things color. Big transformations, creative formulas, lived-in shifts, bold changes. She’s here for all of it. But what really keeps her passionate about hair is the way it connects her with people and brings her closer to her community.

At Blu Skies, Taylor is part bestie and part hype woman. She loves hard, laughs loud, and makes the salon feel a little more alive just by being in it.

Meet Masie ✨

Masie has been behind the chair for a year and a half, and she brings a thoughtful, creative energy into the salon.

Her dream superpower would be the ability to create anything she wanted with her bare hands, which feels very fitting for someone in a career built around transformation, detail, and making people feel good.

She loves doing hair because of the way it makes people feel, and one of her favorite things about Blu Skies is the diversity within our space. Masie is all about finding your niche, being present, and running with what makes you you.

Meet Mickey ✨

Mickey brings so much heart, creativity, and intention to Blu Skies. She loves the part of doing hair that goes deeper than the final color or cut... that moment when someone looks in the mirror and feels like themselves again.

She’s also our Education Coordinator, helping keep our team inspired, growing, and connected through continued learning inside the salon. Her passion for people shows up not only behind the chair, but in the way she pours into the stylists around her.

Equal parts thoughtful, artistic, and a little wonderfully weird, Mickey is one of those people who makes Blu Skies feel like Blu Skies.

Addi loves anything alternative when it comes to hair. Shags, mullets, vivid color, raccoon tails — the more expressive and unique, the better. She’s only been behind the chair for about six months, but her willingness to try new things and keep learning makes her such a fun addition to the salon.

When she’s not at Blu Skies, she’s usually at the gym, painting, or curled up reading. Her calm, easygoing personality fits perfectly into the atmosphere here, and she’s quickly become right at home with the team.
